2009 Full Proposal Invitations
The Citrus Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) is pleased to announce its October 2009 Invitation to Submit for Full Proposals. This page contains links to the information you need to apply for funds. The CRDF is proud to partner with the Florida Citrus Production Research Advisory Council and the Florida Department of Citrus to administrate this proposal program.
The overall goals of this research program are to rapidly find both short- and long-term solutions to the current disease crises affecting the Florida citrus industry. Projects should be planned so that they facilitate rapid commercialization of solutions.

Huanglongbing disease (also called citrus greening or HLB) is considered to be the current research priority. Other important diseases include citrus canker and exotic diseases such as CVC (citrus variegated chlorosis). |

Research Priorities
The August 2009 call for Preproposals targeted comprehensive methods of controlling psyllid transmission of HLB and testing new methods of disease control made possible using the bacterial genomic sequence.
Award Notification: January 29, 2010
The announcement of project awards and details on the next steps to executing contracts will be posted in the Information Forum.
